Inspiring Individuals, Celebrating Community!

Welcome!  For the past 30 years, throughout my healing arts/coaching career, the use of rhythmic music-making with individuals of all ages and backgrounds has been a passion for me.  It all started as an undergrad music therapy student in California and continues now as a program of ONE HEARTBEAT in Albuquerque, NM!  I have continued to share this powerful tool for transformation, connection, healing, and empowered living with individuals privately, the community-at-large, teams, organizations, facilities, and conferences visiting the state.  Thanks for visiting this site and exploring all the ways rhythm can support you in creating a healthy, happy life rhythm!  Rhythm is our tool...so are drums, percussion instruments, your body and your voice.  From the sacred to the playful, we enjoy sharing the healing power of drumming and interactive music-making with you!
See you in the circle,
Giselle Felicia Vivian

CORONA VIRUS - Update 3/30/2020
Dear friends and community,
What times we are living in!  As I write this the Social Distancing orders have just been extended through April 30th.  I pray you and yours have been safe and healthy and are now adjusting to the "new normal".  We have ceased live event facilitation/events and also had cancellations for private facilitation bookings for organizations/conferences due to current events. Our desire is to support all the necessary measures to "flatten the curve" and make certain we are doing our part.  Meanwhile, I have been busy figuring out how to offer our programs online and what necessary adaptations are required to work with the technology.

I am happy to announce we will be offering different events/playshops via the Zoom platform.  Make certain you are on our mailing list for the latest notices and updates.  Be sure to specify interest in online events.  Look for an email giving you the link to update your current mailing list profile.  Only those who specify this interest will receive related updates for online events.  Thanks!

Registration will be required for each event and registrants of events will receive a link to attend the event after sign-up is completed.  Some events will be offered on a sliding scale, while others will have a set fee.  We hope this makes your participation more feasible...we've all been impacted by this unexpected financial challenge and it's definitely time to come together and drum to share and support more inner peace, connection and joy together as we move thru the various feelings of loss, fear and frustration brought on by this global health crisis.

Some basic tips for participation in our online activities:

1. Please allow extra time before our start time to sign-in to the event.  If you wish, you can download the meeting app appropriate for your device at www.zoom.us   If this is your first time using the platform, you can check out the tutorials.

2.  You will need an internet connection, a webcam, a headset or earbuds with mic(preferred) or built in mic for desk or laptops.  If you are joining via the phone app, please join using video so you can enjoy greater connection with other participants.  You'll need a secure way to position your devices so that you are hands-free when it's time to drum.

3.  Because of the lag time/latency found on all online meeting platforms, you will be muted as we drum all together.  You will be un-muted by the host or invited to un-mute yourself as appropriate to the program activity.  We will have moments to connect together when all participants will be able to share.  Please wait till you are invited to share.

4.  Be sure you are joining from a room that allows for quiet and privacy.  We want to eliminate any background noise that may be heard and disrupt those participating.  Using a headset  or earbuds with mic will help.

Finally, Zoom-bombing will not be tolerated.  You will be kicked out of the meeting and banned from further activities. You will forfeit your registration fees.

So, please take a moment to update your interest on notifications for online events.  Private Drum Lessons and Drum Meditation Training/Facilitation is also available at this time.  Just email to request a booking for these services, or an online group event for you and your friends or organization.
